The DOLCA (Dunkirk and Old Lenton Community Association) is a community voluntary association, registered charity, founded in 1947 by a group of ten people loaning £10 each to enable the organisation to buy equipment to start functioning independently. The group manages the community centre and enables diverse activities to take place. Please read the 'Memories' at the end.

Activ8 Uth @ TLC has replaced the Out Of Schools Activity Project (OOSAP) and is based at The Lenton Centre. The project has recently received funding from the Young People's Fund which runs from February 2006 until January 2009.

The Lenton Centre is a company limited by guarantee but still a charity, charitable registered, with the aim to bring the community together to use the facilities and to participate in the activities offered by the centre.
