The need for 'joined up' actionCentral government now expects all councils to consult local people about the creation of community plans, local development plans and local transport plans. In addition the Primary Care Group and the Forum have undertaken their own health consultations. Unfortunately, despite all the talk of ‘joined up government’, all these plans are being produced by different council departments and different public bodies. This manifesto aims to cross these artificial barriers and promote a plan of action created by local people. This manifesto sets out the sorts of things that the Forum would like to see in the local area. It has come about through ideas, comments and suggestions put forward by local people, and aims to address the issues that are of real concern to those who live or work in Dunkirk, New Lenton and Old Lenton. |
