A grass roots organisation
The Dunkirk and Lenton Partnership Forum is a grass roots umbrella organisation dedicated to enabling local people to express their views and influence the development of their community. Membership of the Forum is free and is open to all those who support the aims and objectives of the organisation. Our vision is “working towards a better Dunkirk and Lenton that a broad range of people want to live and work in “ with our charitable objectives “to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the inhabitants of Dunkirk and Lenton”. Membership entitles you to vote at the AGM, Emergency General Meetings or other decision making meetings, to elect officers and Executive Committee members who oversee the direction of the Forum and to have a say in how you think the Forum should fulfil its vision.
Our actions and priorities are decided by local people at regular public meetings, and we are run by a volunteer Executive Committee. We also have Working Groups looking in detail at particular issues, open to anyone who is interested.
Back to top Aims and Objectives of the ForumThe aim of the Forum is to provide a voice for local people and to enable them to raise issues of concern. Through our themed Working Groups, we aim to address these issues and find appropriate resolutions. Our aim is to work in partnership between local residents, local organisations and groups, and statutory bodies, such as the City Council, local schools, the Police and the Primary Care Group, to find these resolutions. The aims and objectives of the Forum are: Aims The Forum exists to increase people's capacity to affect issues which have an impact on the community, and to enable local voices to be heard. The Forum aims to provide local people with the opportunity to identify issues that affect them and work in partnership with the voluntary, private and public sectors to consider and implement solutions.
