Lenton Care Link is a registered charity working in Lenton, Dunkirk and the surrounding areas of Nottingham. It is a community voluntary organisation founded in 1995 and caters specifically for the elderly, vulnerable, diabled and lonely living locally.
Lenton Care Link can provide a variety of support and assistance. It is a caring organisation which tries to provide services which improve the quality of people’s health and social needs, meeting the gaps in statutory service provision.
Main Activities:
The activities of the group embrace:
Monday and Thursday – Over 60s Club :
1. Raffles
2. Bingo
3. External entertainment (games, music, singing, dancing & movement)
Day trips and annual holiday
Volunteer visiting scheme with:
1. Home visits
2. Shopping
3. Individual case work and support
Prescription collection and delivery
Gardening
Maintenance scheme (April – Sept) for elderly and disabled people on low incomes.

On Monday and Thursday - Over 60s Lunch Club - from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
Aimed at meeting the needs of lonely and isolated residents in the Lenton and Dunkirk area, by providing a cooked meal (supplied by social services) with dessert and tea/coffee, and entertainment or activities afterwards with a chance to meet old and new friends in a safe, friendly environment. The average price for the whole meal is £3.50 and transport can be provided if needed.
